Why I Love Wednesdays...Book Blogging or Book Blogs

I am returning with my new feature... Why I love which takes place on Wednesdays. Today's proclamation of love is: Why I Love...Book Blogging OR Book Blogs (or both).

If you want to play along, feel free to grab the image (there is a button on the right sidebar now) and link your post in the linky.  Here goes.

LINKY INSTRUCTIONS:

Why I Love... Book Blogs!!

I'm going to go ahead and let everyone know that I'm going to come across as a bit cheesy.  But the plain truth is that stumbling upon the book blogging community and other book blogs has greatly changed my life for the better.  And I mean that in a everybody-please-give-me-a-hug sort of way.

Book blogs connect me to readers like me.  Oh we may not read the same books but just knowing that you are a fellow reader...well it makes me go all warm and gooey inside.  There are gads of YA book blogs on my Google reader even though I don't often read YA books.

Also, sometimes I think I'm crazy when I'm reading.  I think...wait...did I just read that.  Then I hop along to another blog and they say exactly what I'm thinking.  I LOVE that.  Not because I then feel validated in all things book related but I feel like I'm not alone and I'm not crazy.

In day-to-day life I am surrounded by sooooo many non-readers.  AND they think I'm weird (someone said anti-social) because I read. They say things like..."Do you ever give your eyes a break" or "Why don't you relax and put that book blog."  My family understands but I'm not always around them (I miss my mommy).  But when I visit book blogs...all that...no problem here.

Finally, and my gushing is about to stop soon, I promise.  I've been introduced to new book related things.  Such as when Peep @ Attack of the Book made me curious enough to try Audiobooks.  Or when peer pressure convinced me to purchase and read The Hunger Games and now I have an addiction that I'm trying not to succumb to.  In April, I participated in Dewey's 24-hour marathon and had the ultimate blast.  I can't wait till October to try it again.  Oh and let's not forget Armchair BEA (I'm sorry that I can't remember which blog helped me with this).

I don't mind the book lust that regularly occurs when reading reviews by Bree @ Romance Around the Corner.  It is because book blogs that I met my book twins Bookbelle and Jade.  I mean really.  I can't start naming all my friends because I'm sure to leave so many out.  But book blogs are oh so special.

And why I love book blogging?  Well I get to talk about what I love and I get a golden ticket into a world that has brought so much fun...I know...oh so cheesy yet oh so true. And the giveaways are kind of cool :)
