Updates, Friday Memes, and Spring Break?

Spring Break is here!!

Follow Friday Question of the Week:
Who are you the Boy/Girl, instead of you the blogger?

This question comes right in time.  I need to explain my shameful behavior.  So you might have noticed that I've been quiet around these parts for the last couple of days.  There has been a serious lack of posting this week, but there is an explanation.  I am a Law Student!!  I spend more time reading for school then I do reading for fun.  I am a member of my school's interscholastic moot court team, so I've been traveling to competitions (including this past week).   I don't have enough time to work out, so I've given up wine until I make time in my life for the gym.  I wear many many hats.  I'm an intern at the Texas State Capitol, a staff editor for the Texas Journal of Civil Liberties and Civil Rights, and an executive board member of a school organization.  So I might, perhaps, have over-extended myself just a bit.  I don't sleep. Ever.  And finally.... I'm a newlywed (how long does this title last?).  That's it!  Regular posting will resume this week.

P.S.  Don't forget to sign-up for my First Giveaway...

Book Blogger Hop Question of the Week:

Review: Sala's Gift

Sala's Gift: My Mother's Holocaust Story by Ann Kirschner
Pages: 227 (Ereader)
Genre: Nonfiction, Holocaust Story
Website

Excerpt:

For nearly fifty years, my mother kept a secret.  After surviving 5 years of Nazi slave labor camps, Sala Garncarz Kirschner came to America as a war bride and raised our family without ever speaking of her wartime experiences.

It was not until my mother was scheduled for heart surgery in 1991 that she showed me a priceless collection of more than 350 letters and a diary from her years in the camps, documents that she had kept carefully hidden in a cardboard box.

In that moment, my mother changed my life.

Book Blogger Hop

Blogger Hop Question of the Week:
Who's your all-time favorite book villain?

My Answer:

Rhett Butler:  He has a horrible reputation and refuses to give up on what he wants.  He doesn't follow the rules and doesn't care if anyone else does either.  His one weakness?  Why Scarlett O'Hara of course!

I love the Softies that are dressed up as black sheep.

Follow Friday Question of the Week:
What embarrassing thing have you done on cold medicine?

My answer: I am pleading the 5th on this one.  Somethings are better untold :)
