What's on my Pinboard?
As I've previously mentioned, I keep track of my wishlist/TBR using Pinterest now.
Here's my pinboard for the board I call 'Ghosts.'
Lying Season by Karina Halle
Wide Open by Deborah Coates
Picture the Dead by Adele Griffin
Has anyone read these? What did you think? If you have any reviews/recommendations of ghost books (that aren't too scary) please post links/titles in the comments. This board has been severely neglected. I need more books to add to the list. Help!

Have you read the other Experiment in Terror books? I'd start with Darkhouse, or at least Dead Sky Morning - that book will scare the shit out of you, and then move onto book 4 Lying Season. This is a series you'll love to grow with.
ReplyDeleteAnna Dressed in Blood is another great ghost story. Highly recommended!
I'm not looking for anything too scary but I'll definitely look into Anna Dressed in Blood.
DeleteDarkhouse isn't very scary, just creepy. Anna Dressed in Blood is terrifying - and very gory! It's awesome.
DeleteOkay I can do creepy.
DeleteI have not read any of these but I do love ghost stories!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a good one for some time now.
DeleteThe only ghost story I've read lately was The Woman in Black. But I don't know that I would suggest it for your board.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your honesty Jade!
DeletePicture the Dead is amazing!!! I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd also recommend "Ruined" by Paula Morris.
Oh good to know :) Oh great, I'll look into it. Thanks.
DeleteThe Ghost of Crutchfield Hall is a great middle grade one :)

Great! Thanks for the link so I can add it to my Pinboard.
DeleteI need some good ghost series!
ReplyDeleteI'll add those that I find to my Pinboard so you can find them. If you find some don't forget to let me know.
DeleteI read 'Picture the Dead'... it's a really quick read, and I think it's worth checking out because the reading experience with the illustrations is really cool.
ReplyDeleteI love ghost books, but I haven't read a lot of them. Mara Purnhagen's 'Past Midnight' books are pretty good, and definitely not too scary.
Perfect! I'll check them out and add them to my Pinboard. Thanks!
DeleteI haven't read a lot of ghost books lately - but I can recommend Anna Dressed in Blood too. It's not that scary.
