Lists: Dystopian Novels

A few weeks ago, we compiled a linky full of dystopian novels for one of my Follower Appreciation Giveaways.  In case anyone is interested, here it is. I'm going to keep it handy because I'm interested in participating in a Dystopian challenge next year.  Anyone know a blog hosting the 2012 Dystopian Novel reading challenge?  If you do, please let me know.

I haven't had the chance to read many of the books shared below, but if you want to know whether a particular book is good consider clicking the link (for those that have one) and exploring the blogs for more information.

Thank you to everyone who helped compile this list :)

  5. Oh it took me a while to know what it meant as well. I feel like there are a lot of new terms for old concepts :)

  6. This is a good list to have. The library I work at always has requests for dystopian teen novels and I'm trying to stay on top of it! Thanks!

  7. We are hosting a speculative fiction challenge if that's what you are looking for. It included dystopian as well as a whole host of other genres. :)

I have heard this term for books used a lot and didn't really understand what it meant before... I hope that doesn't make me seem stupid! Thanks for clarifying with this post though! It looks like an interesting list and some of the books I have actually read!

  13. That's a pretty complete rundown of the big dystopian books. I'm so glad this genre has taken off! There's some really exciting themes an author can explore in a world that's fallen to bits. :-)
