A few weeks ago, we compiled a linky full of dystopian novels for one of my Follower Appreciation Giveaways. In case anyone is interested, here it is. I'm going to keep it handy because I'm interested in participating in a Dystopian challenge next year. Anyone know a blog hosting the 2012 Dystopian Novel reading challenge? If you do, please let me know.
I haven't had the chance to read many of the books shared below, but if you want to know whether a particular book is good consider clicking the link (for those that have one) and exploring the blogs for more information.
Thank you to everyone who helped compile this list :)
No problem! I had lots of help in compiling it :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome list! I'm adding these to my own. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Ohhh lucky library patrons. My library didn't have the cool books when I was growing up :)
ReplyDeleteI've read few but it is quite a list! It makes it so much easier...and fun.
ReplyDeleteI know! I'm excited at the chance to dive in.
ReplyDeleteThanks bunches! I'll be sure to look into it.
ReplyDeleteOh it took me a while to know what it meant as well. I feel like there are a lot of new terms for old concepts :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll look into it.
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know. I'm excited :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I'll look into it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good list to have. The library I work at always has requests for dystopian teen novels and I'm trying to stay on top of it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWe are hosting a speculative fiction challenge if that's what you are looking for. It included dystopian as well as a whole host of other genres. :)

Wow!! This is quite a list!!! I'm surprised at how many of them I've actually read since this is not my genre of choice
ReplyDeleteI have heard this term for books used a lot and didn't really understand what it meant before... I hope that doesn't make me seem stupid! Thanks for clarifying with this post though! It looks like an interesting list and some of the books I have actually read!

ReplyDeleteThis list is AWESOME! Now I know what I can refer to when I'm ready to grab a new dystopian. And a dystopian challenge sounds like fun. Let me know if you find one!

That's a pretty complete rundown of the big dystopian books. I'm so glad this genre has taken off! There's some really exciting themes an author can explore in a world that's fallen to bits. :-)
ReplyDeleteFAB list!
