Why I Love... BBC Series North and South
Well I'm going to surprise everybody and pick something totally unexpected, though very much true. My favorite movie/tv adaptations are slowly increasing but I wanted to bypass some of my more predictable choices (The Hunger Games, Vampire Diaries, Pride & Prejudice, and on and on).
This week I was inspired to write about my love of the North and South (the BBC series version). I found this version through Netflix online streaming. I never expected to love it but I needed some background noise while I cooked. A few hours and one lean pocket later (since I abandoned my cooking for another day), I realized that I had stumbled upon a gem. The characters slowly wormed their way into my heart and the romance made my eyes water (just a bit). This was the perfect night-in find. I even watched a couple of the episodes twice! Who does that?! Honestly, this was one of my favorite finds on Netflix to date.

OMW I FREAKING LOVE THIS VERSION OF NORTH AND SOUTH!!!!!! Sorry, I just had to freak out a little cuz I've been in love with this BBC series since it came out. Probably watched it a half a bazillion times!!! LOVE that I'm not alone in the love!
ReplyDeleteYes! I'm actually glad that I'm not alone. I was sitting her looking at an empty post forever trying to decide whether people were going to think i was crazy.
DeleteI've never even heard of this I don't think. If I ever get Netflix I'll have to look this series up. I tend to enjoy historical series/movies.
ReplyDeleteYou need to get Netflix. Totally worth it. Then you can watch the Vampire Diaries.
DeleteWhy is this question so hard?! I thought it would be easy. :) I think my favorite TV adaptation might be The Dead Zone. It started out very close to the book and then stayed a show I enjoyed watching.
ReplyDeleteAll these questions are hard when you are put on the spot.
DeleteThis one was hard and honestly I couldn't find anything. Nothing! Nada!
ReplyDeleteAhh you are too hard on these movie/Tv adaptations. They'll never be the book, but you know...
Delete*faints cos of Armitage*
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteIt sounds intriguing! Will have to check into it sometime, hadn't heard of it either.
ReplyDeleteoh you'll love it. It's so hard to explain why.
DeleteI keep thinking I should try it too :)
ReplyDeleteof course! Go for it.
DeleteOh wow, I really want to watch that! Now, I want to watch it more!!
ReplyDeleteYes! Do it.
DeleteYES!! I freaking adore North & South. I discovered it on Netflix, too... my Mom and I were watching mini-series together one weekend and stumbled across it. I fell in love so quickly, and I asked for the DVD set for Christmas last year. =b I definitely need to watch it again soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's like that. I love Netflix for this discovery.
