Why I Love Wednesday... Book Recommended by Another

Reflections of a Bookaholic

I am returning with my new feature... Why I love which takes place on Wednesdays. Today's proclamation of love concerns our Favorite Book Recommended by Another

Why I Love...Hounded (Iron Druid Chronicles)

This was an easy one for me (for a change).  When I saw this topic on my list, Hounded by Kevin Hearne instantly came to mind.  I am so so so very thankful to Missie from The Unread Reader and Jade from Sort of Beautiful for recommending this series.  I became hooked from the very beginning.  I am 110% (don't you hate when people make up false numbers like this) sure that I would have never picked up this book or read this series if it wasn't for their rave reviews.  It's just not something that would have piqued my interest.  An ancient druid trying to stay alive?  Ummm... who cares?  Well I do now!  I want to know EVERY scrape that Atticus finds himself in.

This is one entertaining series that has kept me interested from beginning to end.  I don't really compare the books across the series because they have all been fantastic.  I don't know the last time I found such a fabulous series that didn't disappoint.  Thanks  Missie and Jade!

Which books do you love thanks to the recommendation of someone else? Feel free to create your own post and link up.  Don't want to create an entire post?  Tell me your favorites in the comments.  Thanks for stopping by for another week of Why I Love Wednesdays!!

  1. Getting book recs from fellow bloggers is what I love about book blogging. I'm adding Hounded to my GR.

  2. I've never heard of Iron Druid Chronicles, but I checked it out on GR and it looks interesting. I've added the first book to my GR TBR list. :-)

  3. OMG I must must try this series. You gals are always saying how good it is. What is taking me so long? :)

  4. I keep track of every book I add to my Wishlist or TBR list from recommendations from bloggers.

  5. YAY! Thanks for the mention and I'm glad you liked it as much as I did. Atticus is something else and I really must get back into his story soon! And Oberon is the best sidekick dog...he is one of my favorites!

    1. Oh the story gets better and better. I can't wait till you read the rest.

  6. Awesome topic, Alexis! I haven't read this book, so I'll check it out. Happy Wednesday :)

  7. Did you read them or listen to them? I've listened to the first two books in the series on audio. The narrator is fantastic. I just wish there was more for the female characters to do!

    1. I listened to them. I love love love the narrator for this series. I never really thought about it but there really are few female characters and they don't do much. Well except for the witches.

I absolutely LOVE all comments! So please feel free to chime in with your thoughts, questions, opinions, or whatever else you have to say.

Don't forget to check back as I reply to comments. Dialogue is good right?
