Teaser Tuesday... Bound

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
My Teaser: This week's teaser comes from Bound by C.K. Bryant.

Nothing here belonged to her, not even a place to lay her head  The fact that this was not her home hit her hard, and she was homesick--even if home was merely a symbol of her abandonment.

Be sure to share a link to your teaser!

    Anyone can play along!

    Just do the following:
    • Grab your current read
    • Open to a random page
    • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
    • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
    • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

    1. Sounds a little distressing. I hope she finds a place to call home or makes her way back home.

      1. No worries, most of the book isn't sad. Just this moment in reflection.

    10. Sounds pretty intriguing! I love a good abandonment story; it makes me think of Jane Eyre.

      1. There isn't a lot of focus on the abandonment. I think I would have liked it if there had been.
