Description:
Twin brothers Jason and Matthias Inero are the favorite sons of the great dragon lord of fire. More often than not they get whatever they want. Matt wants to do great things for his people while Jason wants to go off and explore the world. Both can have what they desire, but not until they take a bride and enter into adulthood.
Enter Kat and Gwen, two girls from very different backgrounds. Kat is happy to leave her home when the royal guard comes to bring her to loving arms of her childhood sweetheart, Matt. Gwen on the other hand is livid to be taken from her farm only to be thrust into Jason's life, and he's not to thrilled with the idea either. They have one year to find happiness with each other, or else they will be placed at the mercy of the ruthless dragon lord Lynx. Favorite or not, dragon law must be obeyed. As their nation begins to prepare for war against a neighboring tribe, the brothers find themselves as key components in the battle plans. A dark prophet has had a vision of Inero victory, but at what cost? Both must decide where their loyalties lie and what they're willing to sacrifice – including each other – to achieve their goals.

My Rating:

My Review:
Legend of the Inero Dragon, book 2 of the Dragon Saga series takes place on the other side of the dragon world on the island of the Inero.  There is some overlap between books 1 and 2 so if you read the first book, there will be an important event that you will see coming.  I really enjoyed this book just as much as the last.  The first book took place on the island of the Oceina and after reading that book, I started to think of them as the "good guys."  However, book 2 is from the point of view of the Inero dragons, which I had previously thought of as the "bad guys."  While my mind isn't completely changed, as I read, I found myself invested in members in each family and I am impatient to see how everything turns out.

Jason and Matthias are twins and they choose Gwen and Kat as their bride.  I love how both Mathias and Jason are both complex and flawed but I didn't care for Gwen or Kat much.  I will say that the heroines in both books haven't been my favorite.  While Gwen and Kat have different personalities, they seem to have the same voice.  I would expect for a girl who has grown up the city and a girl who has grown up in the country to sound completely different.  While I saw they were different people, I felt their characters could have been developed a bit more.

Unfortunately the book came to an end as everything seemed to be getting started and I will be sitting on my hands waiting for the next book.  There is quite a cliff hanger at the end of this book but it was more exciting then annoying.  Overall, I really loved this book and I find that I am enjoying this series very much.  Read this is you want to feel excited about a series.  This one certainly does it for me.

Have I piqued your interest?  Well luckily Ms. Jenkins is allowing me to host a giveaway for both books!  Just fill out the rafflecopter below for the book you are interested in (or both).

  1. Sounds fascinating! Twins, dragons!? I'm on board. I'm curious about the romances though and the politics behind it all. I'd love to know how this all plays out.

    1. Yes there is tone of politics but you definitely want to start with the first in the series.
