I know, I know... I'm reviewing Lisa Kleypas once again.  I can't help it.  It's spring break and I know if I want something romantic, light-hearted, and good, she's pretty consistent and this one is no different.  The idea that one is/isn't sure if a person is the person they claim to be is ludicrous but it works here.   Lara had a hard time of it with her husband before he left for India and since the three years that he was thought to be dead, she had become very free and independent (especially for the times).  So one can imagine that she did not relish the idea of returning to her past life.  Surprisingly, her husband appears to be nothing like the brute who left for India.  She isn't sure what is going on.  Is he the person he says he is?  Or did the traumatic experiences change him so drastically.

I feel like the story line was unique but Lara could have been developed a little more.  I enjoyed learning about the unconventional practice of imprisoning children with their parents.  The story is a great beach read but the connection between Lara and Hawksworth could have been a little more steamy.  The ending was fantastic and I couldn't have thought of a better way to wrap everything up.
