Description:
"This fourth installment in The Cat Star Chronicles series maintains the qualities of excitement, world-building, sizzling romance, and great imagination that made Slave such a resounding success."

Sold into slavery when his planet was destroyed, Lynx was enslaved in a harem. He is a favorite due to his feline gene, which gives him remarkable sexual powers, but after ten years, Lynx is exhausted.

Thrown out without a penny, Lynx is bitter and anti-female. He emigrates to a new planet but can only find a job with a female rancher.

Bonnie's boyfriend has left with all their money and she needs help with the ranch. Lynx is cynical, but honest, and though he has made it clear that he wants no part of a romantic relationship, Bonnie can't resist him. She finds out about his impotence and becomes determined not to let such a beautiful and sensual young man go to waste...
My Rating:
Lynx was a slave of the slaves.  Bonnie's boyfriend got her pregnant and took off with all their money.

Both need each other.  Lynx needs a job in order to remain on the planet.  Bonnie needs help with her farm especially in her current condition.  Neither want to need the other.

And then the sparks fly.

This story is all fire + sizzle!  It's a bit steamier than the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.  If you can handle the steam, then give this series a try.  I loved the broken hero and the desperate yet independent heroine.  The sci-fi touch added an interesting twist but didn't distract or take over the romance.  I loved both Lynx and Bonnie.  Though I was frustrated with Lynx's inability to let go of his past, I understood why his past affected him so.  The tension between the characters was best.  I will definitely continue this series because I couldn't put this down.

  2. Ohhh more steam than BDB? Sign me up! :) I've never heard of this book before. And it's only #4 to a series so I might have time to catch up. Thanks for the heads up!
