From back cover:

AND SHE WAS EVERYTHING HE NEEDED...

Harry was willing to do anything to win Poppy -- except to open his heart.  All his life, he has held the world at arm's length -- but the sharp, beguiling Poppy demands to be his wife in every way that matters.  Still, as desire grows between them, an enemy lurks in the shadows.  Now if Harry wants to keep Poppy by his side, he must forge a true union of body and soul, once and for all.

My Rating:

My Review...

This is book 3 of the Hathaway Series.  Yes, I read them out of order AGAIN, but at this point, it can't be helped (I feel like an amateur, but I'm not.  I promise!).  The question:  What do you do with someone who is accustomed to getting what he wants, whenever he wants, at whatever the costs?  The answer: Poppy Hathaway.  The Hathaway clan is back again to throw London society on its heels.    Jay Harry Rutledge is a wealthy hotelier and Poppy Hathaway is a "smarter-than-your-average-bear" female wanting to fit in with the English ton.  I won't say much more than that here because one of the best things about this book is its unpredictable nature.  It fits none of the typical formulas.

Loves it!  The name Poppy really really bugs but I'm guessing that's just a personal problem so no points off on the rating.  I find both characters very convincing and lovable.  I found myself laughing out loud numerous times (and receiving strange stares in return).  Another great light-hearted read from Lisa Kleypas.  It's not though provoking or deep but it was just what the doctor ordered.
